Last Caricatures of 2008

As the first job of my life, caricature in Wonderland was a good experience for me (except for the 2hr bus ride to work, bad boss and low wage -3-). It was an opportunity for me to experience what it's like to earn money. I guess first thing I learned is that getting money from customers are actually very hard. And you gotta learn to suck up to them too =_=; (especially when mothers want their children drawn. You are forced draw them cute and adorable) Chang said now she hates drawing for money, but I guess it depends. For some picky customers, it's a pain in the ass to draw but usually I really enjoy drawing people. It's more like I enjoy seeing people laughing and having fun when I show them their face on the paper ^^

I think I improved quite a bit this summer. At least this job kept me drawing consistantly. One thing bad is that the job was so weirdly scheduled, I failed to keep up with my summer plans. I wanted to take aikido lessons in JCCC, try out long bow archery, do more CG, go to zoo and museum frequently and do lots and lots of mall/subway/bus sketches, but the job was so tiring that I wanted to do nothing when I came back home =_= lazy me...

Well, 2nd year is coming within a week. LET'S GO AGAIN! >_<

Oh Eunice....how charming you are. I'm gonna miss workin' with you, but I will be checking back here regularly so I wanna see updates. You're an amazing artist, and it was my pleasure to work alongside you. Good luck and kick some ass.
