[3rd Year] Action Analysis - Clean

Almost done... I need to fix the end poses and inbetween the tiger... and then scan/color/composite... so slow...

This one is just the character. As you can see, the ending is a bit iffy =_= I need to have that 'bomp bomp bomp' with the body and the club.

[3rd Year] Action Analysis - Current Color Problem

Flipbook decided not to accept my colored frames in the last minute. This is how it looked like. I was about to commit suicide.
I like my colored frames! I need my colored frames back!!! ;_______;

[3rd Year] Action Analysis - Clean Keys with little In-betweens / Clean FX

I just got an email from the school saying that I can't use the lab until the school starts. I'm like @!^$(#*^$)(*&*$##^$$#((#@&^&*#*&@()^#!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How are the 3rd years suppose to work on their coop portfolio and demo reel if the lab is down?!!?

I sent an angry email to the tech guys and hopefully they will listen but until then I'm like 'ha...ha...ha... I'm doomed... I was planning to finish my Action Analysis during winter... OTL

Anyhow, here is where I am right now. Keys cleaned with little inbetweens. A little jitter here and there.

And clean FX

[3rd Year] 24... hours...

Let me explain myself here. *Ehem*

The Amazing Ashlyn (I love you, Ashyleen) organized 24 hours film event in the beginning of reading week. I signed up for it and I'm telling you, I was EAGER back then. But you know what's gonna happen right before reading week. Assignments, assignments, assignments... And you lack sleep, nutrition, brain cells, sanity and just about everything. I was seriously lacking the 2nd attribute: nutrition. I tend to not eat when I'm busy because I get really really sleepy after I eat so I say to myself that I would sleep for just 15 minutes but that 15 minutes would become 30 minutes and that 30 minutes would become an hour and so on. It's like the never ending nightmare. On the day of the event, I was good up till the storyboarding. I actually planned everything and I even finished the layout. Only thing left was animation. But my lack of nutrition and lack of animation experience drained all of my soul out from my body and I suffered, suffered, suffered. So I went home. It was just past the 6 hours from the starting point. So there you go.

In other words, I FAILED MISERABLY.

...actually, I'm planning to continue this after the semester is done. Until then, this is all that I can show right now.

[3rd Year] Action Analysis - Animation Rough

1st round of rough animation. I don't like the hit action. And I also thought my dokebi didn't have a strong character

2nd round. I've done only half due to my stupid perfectionism... and I haven't been animating for a very long time so my hands are very VERY rusty =_=

I added some action in the beginning and I think it's a bit better than the 1st round.

[3rd Year] Action Analysis - Leica (OLD)

The previous version of the Action Analysis. I changed the beginning in the newer version to make the characters more active :)

My drawings changed alot from old version to the new one. It's strange.... this change was made in just what, less than a month? Weeeeeeeird...

[2nd Year] Animation Project #8 - Beak Lip-Synch

Last animation of 2nd year! Animated in 2 days =_=

Audio is from Russell Peter's comedy show. I'm sure everyone's familiar with it.

(The synch seems a bit off on the blog. The picture moves faster than the audio. I don't know why. The original .avi is perfectly synched though...)

[2nd Year] Animation Project #7 - Muzzle Lip-Synch

Lip-Synch with muzzle character

I wonder how many people can feel the pain that's engraved in this animation. I've been dragging this animation for too long.

I'm not very proud of this one. Nothing's special about this one. I only like how the bear says 'I could crush you' but nothing else. I should have more force when they're crushing together and especially when the bear pushes. It should have waaaay more force and better timing but I burned myself out.

I'll probably re-do this assignment. I'm gonna practice more lip-synch this summer anyways.

That's why I don't want to do inteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeern... *sobs*

[2nd Year] Animation Project #6 - Human Lip-Synch

This one is actually my 2nd one. The one I had was completely different and it was longer, but I didn't like it. And that was 4 days before the due date. So this newer one is done in what, 3 days? Well, it came out pretty good, better than the last one so I'm happy. Omg I really hate my last one, I don't want to show it to anyone. It's too shameful to watch.

[2nd Year] Animation Project #4- Expression Change

Yeah, I liked doing this animation...

But not as much as the Walk and Run...

[2nd Year] Animation Project #3 - Walk and Run

Walk and Run cycles of two different characters and their interaction. The first walk (more like a sneak) is really long so you might have to wait a while (15 seconds!!!) until some change in staging.

I was mainly experimenting with smear drawings in this assignment and it was fun! I am quite proud of this animation... devoted almost 3 full weeks (but I skipped so many extra life drawings... how shameful)

I'm going to add one more scene at the last and maybe animate more actions for the girls for my final demo reel... I'll post the newer version as soon as it is finished.

This one is with background music. (I didn't do this because I had so much time in my hand. It was a sound project)

By the way, am I still the only one who regularly updates their own blog?

[1st Year] Animation Project #7 - Animal Walk

Animal Walk - Polar Bear
I practically sold my soul to this animation project.
I did the whole cycle for 5 times...
and fortunately my hard work paid off...
The final came out pretty good. I'm very satisfied.
I even had time to do some extra animation!
And it was the first extra animation that I did in my life!
This is the full .AVI file that I handed in
